The Missouri ADR Commission approved a revised version of its proposed Rule 17 at its meeting on March 30, 2011. That revised version was included in the Commission’s report to the Supreme Court which was submitted to the court on July 1, 2011. That report is confidential until released by the court. Since its inception there have been over 1,000 views of this blog. We will post additional updates on this blog when information is available. The Commission thanks all who reviewed the rule and those who commented. Your input helped us to make better recommendations.
ADR Commission Finalizing Proposed Rule
Since we posted our First Annual Report there have been over 700 visits to this site and the Commission received numerous comments from individuals and groups. We appreciate all who have commented and helped us refine the draft. The draft that the Commission will be reviewing and voting on at its next meeting, scheduled to be held by telephone on March 30, 2011, can be reviewed here. ADR Commission Posts First Annual Report
The Missouri Supreme Court’s Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution released its First Annual Report in September 2010 and has been seeking public comment. You can comment on each of the rule sections by taking this survey. Comments also can be sent to the Commission at moadrcommn@gmail.com. Answers to frequently asked questions and other summaries will be periodically posted here. The Commission hosted a Sunrise CLE at The Missouri Bar’s Annual Meeting in Columbia Missouri, presented in Kansas City on October 22, 2010 at the annual meeting of the Association of Missouri Mediators, and also presented at Washington University School of Law on October 29, 2010. Information and requests for comment have been provided through various publications, including the Missouri Bar’s ESQ and Precedent, and Missouri Lawyer’s Weekly. The Commission will next meet on December 3, 2010 in Columbia, Missouri. We have received a number of comments and look forward to receiving yours.
